Stage I Diagnosis

Alice was diagnosed with Stage I breast cancer in January 2021.  It started with a lump in her right breast.  The recommendation was a double mastectomy for which she had three weeks later.  No radiation needed but, chemo was. Things were looking promising after the surgery and the initial treatment. For the next two years, Alice was doing ok with exception of some back and chest pain for which the oncologist said that it was from the nerve damage.

Stage IV-TNBC

Stage I Diagnosis

Stage I Diagnosis

In the summer of 2023, the pain in Alice's chest and back became so severe that she had to go to the ER several times. The final time revealed a spread of the cancer to her back-primarily to the spine. The new diagnosis was Stage IV-TNBC. It was devastating news. How did she get here if she was going to her oncologist routinely? Alice changed oncologist because we felt their was neglect. At this point, she was given 1-5 years to live. My beautiful wife, Alice lost her battle with breast cancer on January 14, 2025. More to come in discussion panels and testimonials!

breast cancer support groups

Getting support and supporting others!

Alice joined a support group after her cancer spread.  Also, she would support friends who had recently been diagnosed.
